Yarn bombing?!

So I don't know if you guys have heard of a little thing called yarn bombing, but it is super awesome! So according to wikipedia yarn bombing is, "a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted cloth rather than paint or chalk." I didn't even know this existed until my dad showed me this article on npr . I looked on google and found all of these "attacks" that I thought were super cute and fun.
Its such a shame that there are people put there who take this stuff down. It's so cute right?! If you were out on the street and you saw this, wouldn't you take a picture? This stuff is so creative and fun how could you hate it! And shame on those people who take this stuff down. It's too cute to hate! Just let the public see it for a couple of days. Have you ever heard of this? Isn't it just the cutest thing in the world?!

Another One Bites the Dust!

I successfully finished yet another afghan this weekend! I've be working on this for a few weeks now, so I'm glad to see it finally done. I made this so it'd match my room, and it does magically! It was also my first time doing a scalloped edge on an afghan and I think I'm in love!
These are photos of the afghan in making and now the finished product!
I'm so happy about this because its all for me! :) So I've started a new afghan I've named "Granny Hyacinth" and it is a birthday present for one of my friends.
I love it already. Kind of jealous. I just might keep it.... : P Anyways, I hope everyone else is having a wonderful weekend? Anything exciting happening with you guys?

Let see, The Kids are All Right, Arthur (Both the old one and the new), Rio, Easy A and .... I believe that it. All of them were Fantastic movies might I add! But the best thing I did this weekend was.... FINISH AN AFGHAN!
I finished it, then sent it on its marry way!
I'm so glad this one went to a person who is not in my family haha. that makes it even more fun!
Now that this one is done, I can finish up on the other 3 I'm workin on. Im almost done with the one I am working on for my room. I feel like I only have about... 3 more rows?

I'm going to do a scalloped edge on this one because I also learned how to do that this weekend. I hope everyone else had a wonderful easter!

Puppy Chow/ afghan updates

I made some puppy chow today! This sounds weird, I know. Why am I making food for a puppy when I don't even have one? Well, puppy chow isn't a food for dogs, it is a delicious combination of chex cereal, peanut butter, chocolate and powdered sugar. How does that combination not sound AMAZING?! Well it is and it is EXTREMELY easy to make. ALl you gotta do is....
Measure out the stuff:
Melt it in the microwave and stir it up:
Pour it over the 9 cups of chex cereal:
Stir the mixture until all of the cereal is covered in chocolatey goodness. Then put the cereal in a plastic bag with the powdered sugar and shake until completely coated. Then, place somewhere to cool:
The end! You're done! How easy is that?!

Other news, I got some new yarn today in the mail. Colors red and navy. It's for the Barcelona  afghan. I also started putting squares together, check it out!
It's gonna look SUPER rad! can't wait! Tomorrow is going to be a huge day. I have choir try-outs and my lovely aunt Nelda is coming from Texas to come pay a visit : ) I love her to pieces and I haven't seen her in FOREVER so I can't wait to see her! She's coming to my competition on saturday too, which is pretty exciting because no one in my extended family has ever come to one of my competitions so this means so much : ) I hope I'll get a lot of crocheting done this weekend and I hope all of you have fun plans for the weekend too!
Au revoir,

The one I am currently working on is for one of my brothers friend who wanted me to make him an afghan of the colors of the soccer team for Barcelona. which are navy, gold and red. I am going to make 108  granny squares! and connect them all together with red yarn. I've gotten 30 done so far.

Another exciting thing that happened this weekend was I bequeathed my brother's old iPad! Since the booger got a new one my parents game me his old one and I am in love! : )

I'm definitely glad I bequeathed this iPad! I am forever grateful of my lovely brother Andy : )

I also haven been working on my afghan for my bed, which has a lot more left to do, by the way. But I have been making progress on that so I'm happy.
I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend. Dreading going back to school tomorrow. Spring break has been amazing! Don't want it to end!

My Brother's birthday!

Yesterday was my brother's birthday! It was really a fun day. I made these raspberry brownies. Yum! and I made mini peach pies!
It was a lot of fun, and a lot of baking! Which is still super fun. Our day was pretty chill we hung out at my house so my brother could get the iPad 2! Its super rad! Andy took a picture of me attempting to high-5 myself : P
A failed attempt but it was still funny! It totally looks like my room is a mess in the background, but this is only because I was trying to make a sample granny square, which is not excuse I know but who cares!

I got a lot of time yesterday to work on my afghan for my bed. made lots of progress on that puppy. excited about that!
Im keeping my afghan a secret on purpose : P
But yeah yesterday was a pretty chill but super awesome day! I'm working on a post right now of a couple new projects I'm gonna be working on for the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that. I hope everyone is enjoying their day! :)

Collage Lamps!!

So maybe like last year or so I decided to make the collage lamps because I was really bored of the plain ol' normal ones. I decided I wanted to make the with musicians, people, movies and places I love. And with those ideas it was really easy to make a collage. It was really easy too. I just bought cheap lamp shades at target and the I glued pictures I found on the internet and that's it! Super easy and it really looks super cool! You all should totally try it!

Sorry for the really crappy photos but I did my best! Also here is a peak of my new afghan!

Circle Scarfs

This past week I crocheted this circle scarf for one of my good friends Alexis...

I am totally excited about this! it took me about five days to make. It's a super easy concept, but it takes a SUPER long time. A few times along the way I wanted to give up so bad because I was getting bored of the same color and the same number of the stitches and blah blah blah.... BUT! I did deliver on my promise and I made the circle scarf! And I'm so glad I did! It was well worth the wait and it definitely made Alexis' day which is all the truly matters! Now, I have started a new project, an AFGHAN! I'm really excited about this because I really considering selling them in the summertime so I'll post pictures when I'm finished with that! I hope you had a wonderful day because I know I did!

Disneyland Fun!

So last night I went to Disneyland with a bunch of my friends and I thought it'd be fun to share some pictures from last nights event.
My lovely friends Gabe, James, and Matthew taking a picture of a hanger that I believe my friend Alex threw up in a tree.
Elizabeth and I trying our first beignets. They are quite tasty but SUPER HOT!
I think this is a random picture of me freaking out when I realized how hot the beignet was. Yikes.
Enjoy!
